Using the Command Line to Publish Phone Books

The command for publishing a phone book relies on the information specified in the administration toolÆs graphical interface (phone book name, POP information, and server location). The command-line switches are case-sensitive, and all errors for a run are logged to the import.log file located in the \Connection Point Admin directory. When you post to the server using the command-line interface, the system assigns an ôIn Serviceö status to all POPs. The following switches allow you to use the command-line interface to post to the server.

Switch Description
/B phone_book_name The name of the phone book to post to the server
/? The list of command-line switches

The following is an example of how you would use the command-line interface to post to a fictitious server named ByteComp.
