Summary

By allowing Java developers to tap into the power of ActiveX, Microsoft has turned Java into a first class development language. Java developers can now create components that integrate seamlessly with Visual Basic, Delphi, ActiveX scripting, and other ActiveX development environments, controls, and containers. In addition, developers can enhance and extend the functionality of Microsoft's default framework implementation using only Java. Microsoft will provide examples and a working framework for ActiveX control development in the next beta release of the SDK for Java.
