Diary: Date navigator
The Date navigator appears on the left-hand side of the Diary screen and also when you choose a calendar date for a field or a date box.

  Show me

The Date navigator will appear as a pop-up window when you click on a database field that has the Appearance property set to Calendar. It will also appear anywhere that you need to specify a date, such as New appointment and the Linking screen.

Top   Font / Size
This sets the font that is used to display the Date navigator. The larger the font size, the larger the boxes will be. To make the dates easier to click, increase the font size.

Click the Font / Size box to change the setting
Choose a font and click OK

The Preview area will show you what the Date navigator will look like if you apply the current settings. (The dates highligted are random and are not based on your diary).

Top   Colours
You can set the colours that are used to display the Date navigator, making busy days stand out if you wish.

    To change a colour:
Click the Palette button next to the colour
Choose a new colour and click OK

  Background
This is the paper colour used as the background for the calendar.

  Today
Sets the colour used to highlight today.

  Busy days
Sets the colour used to highlight days in the Diary that have at least one activity in them.

  Non-working days
Sets the colour used to indicate weekends or other non-working days. It is not used to indicate bank holidays or national holidays.

Top   Embolden busy days
If ticked, dates of busy days will be drawn in a bold font. The background colour used for Busy days will always be applied regardless of this setting.

Note If you choose a Bold font to display the Date navigator, or a very small font size such as 8 point, you will not see any difference whether this option is ticked or unticked.
