Specify the folders that will store a record of the jobs created in the Customer Service Management module. | |||

At a simple level you may only need one folder, perhaps called Jobs, and all jobs are logged within it. Larger organisations may require multiple job folders, in which case you can direct jobs into the right folder by associating job folders with either Asset categories or Job types. Job folders should ideally be in the root of the filing system because when you create new jobs they will be stored in a Year / Month / Day sub-folder which is created at the time of logging the job. |

Setting the default job folder | |||
When you create a new job and have multiple job folders set, but none of the folders are specifically associated with the Asset category or Job type, then the job folder at the top of the list is selected as the default. | |||

Next job number | ||
Shows the next job number that will be created in the selected Job folder. If you alter this value, make sure you only edit it to a higher value than it already is otherwise you will create duplicate job numbers. When you change the Next job number it is changed globally for all users. |

Job number prefix | ||
Allows you to set up to a 5 letter prefix for the job numbers. You may wish to identify jobs of a certain type by prefixing them with a code, and the prefix accomodates this. For example: |
