IP Ultra Scan 2000 supports automatic ping on application starup and automatic shutdown using command line options.  

• Using the command line option -A cause IP Ultra Scan 2000 to automatically start the ping process when the application starts.
• Using the command line option -C causes IP Ultra Scan 2000 to automatically terminate after the ping process completes.

  After you define the schedules task using the Microsoft Task Scheduler (accessible from the control panel or system tray icon), select properties, then select the task tab.  The run command should be similar to this (Notice the -A and -C are outside of the quotes.):

• "C:\My Documents\VB Projects\Scan 2000\IPScan2000.exe" -A -C
