Greetings Princess and all, First let express my admiration for your detective ability and congratulate you for your achievement in producing a valid name as the pass word. Intrigued by what you have done I tried to replicate your results but failed. So, am I missing something or are we working on different version of the same program? As shown in the reproduction of my Crkme4.dat file, I used PRINCESS as a name and examined the contents of 40204b after the program returned from the second call to 401116 and this is what I found: 53 32 4e 0c 54 d3 00 00 and not F1 F6 DB EA CA CF F9 F9 as you have shown in your message. The results I got were consistent with the program does during the call to 401116: It produces 3 bytes of code for every group pf 4 bytes provided those byte were not null characters. 00000000000000000000000000000000................ 5052494E434553530000000000000000PRINCESS........ 00000000000000000000000000000000................ This is a copy of the Crkme4.DAT file And this is what I found at 40204b after the program returned from the second call to 401116: 53 32 4e 0c 54 d3 00 00 Best regards, Joseph Joseph |
