Main Window

The Main Window

TurboIRC's main window is a single window that has a toolbar and a menu . From here you can go to every other TurboIRC's window . Examine the toolbar :

Connect : This allows you to start a new IRC connection , see Connect Dialog Box . Start it also by pressing Control + N .
Aliases : This starts the alias editor , see Alias Editor . Start it also by pressing Control + A .
Events : This starts the automated-event editor , see Event Editor Start it also by pressing Control + E .
Specials : This starts the TurboIRC-event editor , see Special Event Editor Start it also by pressing Control + S .
Lookup : This starts the lookup utility , see Lookup Utility . Start it also by pressing Control + L .
Chat : This feature starts a DCC session without connecting to an IRC server first .See DCC Connections .
Chat Server : This feature starts a DCC session without connecting to an IRC server first . See DCC Connections .
Prefs : This shows the preferences you have . See Preferences . Start it also by pressing Control + P .
Help : This starts the online help . Pressing F1 has the same meaning .
Exit : Terminates TurboIRC .

TurboIRC's TOOL menu has also some other features :

Sound Manager : Shows you the TurboIRC sound manager , see Sound Manager . Start it also by pressing Control + U .
Mail Checker : Enables TurboIRC to notify you for new mails , see Mail Checker .
Color Tester : A simple tool that allows you to select a color and returns you its value , that you may want to use later .
Services : TurboIRC winsock services . see Services
Proxy Setup : The Proxy Support is not yet implemented .
Hide to Icon : The same with Ctrl+F5 . Hides all TurboIRC windows and shows an icon in the system tray . Double click on that icon to restore . Note that if any user causes TurboIRC to open a query window , you will still view it .

Menu "HELP" has the Help Index ( Press F1 ) , the "Tip Of The Minute" and the about dialog box .
