TurboIRC Directories

Under TurboIRC directory , TurboIRC creates directories to store information . These directories are :

DEMOS : This is not used by TurboIRC . It stores some script demos for you to use .

DYN : This directory is used by TurboIRC to store dynamic data . This directory is guaranteed to exist when TurboIRC runs , and you can use it to store information . This information will be lost once TurboIRC terminates . If you find files in DYN when TurboIRC is NOT running , you can easily delete them - they are useless .

FILES : This is the default directory that TurboIRC receives your DCC transfers . You can change it using Preferences .

SOUND : The directory that holds sound files . You can change it using Preferences as well .

HELP : This is the location of all HTM help files .

LOG : Your default logging directory , changable with Preferences .

SCRIPTS : The directory TurboIRC holds scripts in .

VOICE : The directory that TurboIRC Voice Chat ® is ( see Voice Chat )

CHESS : The directory that TurboIRC Chess Online ® is ( see Chess )

TXNS , TXCS are the directories that TurboIRC NickServ ® and TurboIRC ChanServ ® are installed . You can easily move these files because these programs are separated from TurboIRC.
