CityTime & Time Traveler Integration

Time Traveler now integrates with the multi-award winning CityTime. CityTime is a great product from Code City that provides an appealing graphical world clock showing day and night. CityTime is also shipped with the new Visor handhelds from Handspring.

Note: To enable integration CityTime and any one of the Time Traveler applications must be run at least once.

CityTime and Time Traveler provide the following points of integration:

  • Changing the Time Zone in City Time
  • When using either the "Set Home City" or "Change Location" menus in CityTime Time Traveler will be informed of the new location. Palm Date Book appointments associated with a time zone via Time Traveler's Time Book will relocate to the new time zone.

If a time zone is set in CityTime that does not exist in Time Traveler then Time Traveler will create it automatically.

  • Changing the Time Zone in Time Traveler
  • When using either the "Make Current Time Zone" of Time Traveler's Time Place or using an itinerary within Time Traveler, CityTime will be informed of the new location. As is normal with Time Traveler, Palm Date Book appointments associated with a time zone via Time Book will be relocated.

If a time zone is set in Time Traveler that does not exist in CityTime then CityTime will set to the nearest zone with the same GMT value. CityTime will also notify you of such circumstances when you next launch it.

  • Creating a Time Zone savvy Palm Date Book appointment via Time Book using CityTime's Time Calculator
  • When Time Traveler's Time Book application is present, CityTime will display a "Make Remote Appt." button in its Time Calculator window. Tapping on the button will capture the information entered so far in the window and invoke Time Book. Time Book will display the details as entered via the Time Calculator and permit the entry of an appointment description. Once entered the appointment will exist in the Palm Date Book and relocate to new time zones as they are visited.
