Browsing with KatieSoft Scroll is very similar to browsing with a standard Web browser—the main difference is, you have four windows on the Web, not just one.
When you launch KatieSoft Scroll for the first time, you see a four-paned window, like this:
Each of the four panes will navigate to its default home page when Scroll loads. To begin browsing, you may:
- Click on links, just as you would in a conventional browser
- Enter URLs in the Address Boxes
- Select Favorites from the Favorites menu. After selecting a Favorite, your pointer will change to a crosshair; at this point, click on the pane where you want to load your Favorite site.
Each pane in KatieSoft Scroll contains a Command Bar that operates the pane it is attached to. The controls on the Command Bar are familiar browser controls:
From left to right, the elements of the Command Bar are:
- Back - Navigate one Web site backward.
- Forward - Navigate one Web site forward.
- Stop - Stop loading the current Web page.
- Refresh - Reload the current Web page.
- Home - Return to the default home page for this pane.
- Search - Return to the default search page for this pane.
- Address Box - Enter any URL here to navigate to that site.
- Pane Status - This indicator displays the pane number when the browser is idle; when the browser is fetching information, flashing lights will appear.
- Minimize - Click to shrink a maximized pane, click again to hide the pane.
- Maximize - Click to maximize a pane.
