This dusty cobweb-filled space in the Room is the attic. But apart from the fact that we're clearly committed to taking our Room-styley metaphors well beyond the bounds of decency, what does it mean? Putting it simply, which is how we like things here, it's a member-only section of the Room; putting it incomprehensibly it's g rewf lkjfkl zargon koomphll-treefgrit taribumbum (bumbum) ag frip frup frop quepleest kldjkldjkl!

So what are the benefits of this so-called 'member-only' "section"? Self, self, self, that's all you think about. Sheesh. Well, to start with, each and every one of you will get an email from us once a month or so, letting you know what's new in the Room and where to find it. We'll also be running a number of competitions that you can only enter from up here in the attic (might as well stick with the metaphor now we've started).

We'll also be far more likely to put your web site up in the bog or in one of our other lists of links if you're a member because we are as venal and corrupt a bunch as you could hope to lock in an office and entomb in 10 metres of concrete. In fact, if enough of you ask for it, I'll make a special list of members' links which we'll include in web-u-like.

And over the next few months you'll find all sorts of other goodies lurking in the cobwebby depths of the attic. An email news service which sends you news items according to your own pre-selected preferences will be coming online and will only be available to members, and, if you ask for them, we'll also send you job details from our database at job.net.

As if that weren't enough, you're also guaranteed a sympathetic ear if you try to mail us with comments or problems, and when we're planning changes to the Room, you're the ones we'll ask what to keep, what to dump and what to change.

When enough of you have piled into the attic, we'll even put in the odd members-only Shockwave or Java game, as well as bonus episodes of the Stoney Blokes. If all that doesn't put you off, it's time to give us your details by filling in the form below and then just sit back and enjoy the benefits, and well, frankly, the sheer kudos of membership of the attic.
