Joel, or the human flatworm as he is known by his closest friends, has no close friends. This is due to a powerful combination of impersonal hygiene and a personality that makes Julian Patterson seem popular. At work, Joel is in charge of the games and multimedia sections of the VNU CD-Roms. Perhaps it is during the endless hours of game-playing that Joel developed and honed his interpersonal skills. Who knows? Who cares?
