A colourful and entertaining site devoted to this popular brand of tequila, with vibrant graphics and lots of tongue-in-cheek mythology, in particular an interactive 'select-your-legend' spot on the origins of the Margerita. The recipe section strikes a more serious note: "remember it's the ability to mix cocktails that separates us from the animals" and important FAQS such as "why is there a worm in a tequila bottle?" are laid to rest here - "there isn't, there is only a worm in mescal". A set of colourful Mexican postcards are available which you can send to a friend from this site. Well, actually what happens is they get an email with instructions on how to download it, but a nice idea.
Most of the world is on tap in the drinking guides here. Recommended London pubs are listed by area, and similar data is provided for Austria, Cambridge, Dublin, Finland, Ontario and of course, the USA. A comprehensive guide compiled by Jay Hersch is provided to beers in Belgium, the Netherlands and the Dusseldorf/Koln region.
But for stay-at-homes the site hosts a weekly virtual beer tasting via Internet Relay Chat. Beers are selected the previous week and sampled and discussed on Tuesdays at 10pm. EST.
An archive contains details of the winning beers of previous British Beer Festivals, as well as a selection of printed journals, and those with a more academic interest can peruse the text of Germany's Pure Beer Law of 1516, in English or German.
If this becomes your pet site you can send in a mugshot for the Rogue's Gallery.
