Maintaining grouped text formatting

The Maintain Alignment command maintains the alignment of text with other objects to which it is grouped. When the text is changed, or its size, tracking, font, or style is changed, the text is realigned within the group, or the objects in the group are resized as needed. For example, you could group a text object with a button. As you add text, the size of the grouped button automatically increases to accommodate the text. If the buttons have aliases, the size of the aliases increase by the same amount.

To maintain the alignment of grouped text:

With the group selected, choose Object > Maintain Alignment.
