Widow Pitch
			     Version 1.0

Widow Pitch is a card game played against the computer ("Puter").  Widow
Pitch is similar to Spades in that you bid, take tricks, must follow suit
if you can, and can trump if you can't follow suit.  Unlike Spades, however,
the number of tricks you take doesn't decide your score; capturing "points"
does.  Also unlike Spades, trump changes each hand, set by the high bidder.
The online help file has all the rules, as well as tips for play.

			      Settings
To change settings, choose "Settings", then "Preferences" from the menu.
There are six cardbacks and five background colors to choose from.  Sound
can be turned on or off.  Sound changes will be effective immediately, but
cardback and background color changes will not become effective until you
exit, then restart Widow Pitch.


If you install with the included setup program, Widow Pitch will be on
your Start Menu, and can be uninstalled from Control Panel.  The latest
version of Widow Pitch can be found at:
