Home Design 3D v5.0 Windows 3.1 version Readme.txt 25 July 1997 10:52 AM ========================== Printer Drivers/ Printing Conflicts ========================== It is strongly suggested that you contact your printer manufacturer by mail or via the internet for the most updated printer drivers for your printer. Many printer conflicts will be resolved by these updated drivers which are often provided free of charge. ========================== Sample Plans ========================== Some of the sample plans are designed for larger lot sizes than the default setting of 72' x 72.' If you opt for clicking and dragging these plans over from the Category Toolbar and your plan appears to be larger than your lot, it is recommended to adjust your lot size to 150' x 150'. ========================== Snap to Grid ========================== Note: when using the snap to grid feature objects will move from their starting position to the identical position in the next grid square. To enable movement from grid line to grid line, set your snap to grid and grid spacing to the same numerical value. Then disable Snap to Grid and align the object on a grid line. Enable Snap to Grid again so the program will now move objects from grid line to grid line. ========================== Program Speed ========================== If you would like to cancel the redraw at any time, hit the esc key. This can prove to be a valuable tool. The program will operate best when all other applications are closed, you are at above 90% system resources and you have ample hard drive space so the Microsoft Windows caching system will operate properly. It is recommended to run scandisk and defrag to optimize your hard drive if you are experiencing difficulties with this or any other program. You may consult your DOS help resources for further detailed instructions.
