If you have a minimum Grade 10 (Secondary III in Quebec) education, you can join the Canadian Navy as a technician or as an operator.

· Naval Electronics Technician
  (Communications)
· Naval Electronics Technician (Radar)
· Marine Engineering Mechanic 
· Hull Technician
· Marine Electrician

· Boatswain
· Naval Combat Information Operator
· Naval Electronic Sensor Operator
· Naval Communicator 
· Sonar Operator
· Steward

The higher your education level, the more options are open to you, so you are encouraged to take advantage of the Canadian Forces subsidized post-secondary education plans.
