Player and Ball Control µFootball controls have been designed for ease of use. The controls are simple and can be learnt in a Practise game. The player with a stroke below is the controlled player that will react on your user input. All the other players move into positions according to a 4-4-2 tactic. The goalkeeper can’t be controlled. The recommended way to control µFootball is to use the thumbs to press left/right and up/down and place one index finger at the side of the screen. That way you’re always ready to pass or shoot by tapping the screen while the index finger doesn’t hide too much of the screen. Moving The controlled player can be moved in 8 directions. Press and hold the left, right, up or down button to move the player in that direction. Press two buttons simultaneously (e.g. left and up) to move the player diagonally. Heading Tap the screen when the ball is in the air to make the controlled player jump in the direction the controlled player is facing. Block tackling Move in front of the opponent and get possession of the ball as it travels in front of the player. Slide tackling Tap on the screen to do a sliding tackle in the direction the controlled player is facing. Make sure that you touch the ball before touching the opponent to avoid a free kick or a penalty against you. Dribbling Touch the ball to make it move in the direction the controlled player is facing. The distance it moves depends on the speed of the player at the time of contact. Passing and Shooting Tap the screen when the controlled player is close to the ball to pass or shoot the ball in the direction the player is facing. Stopping ball Tap the screen and hold to stop the ball and place it close to player. Hold down direction buttons and release to pass in the direction the player is facing. Release without holding down direction buttons to keep dribbling. Lobbing Reverse the direction buttons when the ball is on the ground to lob the ball. Playing the Game Corner kicks, Penalties, Free kicks and Goal kicks Press the wanted direction buttons while tapping on the screen to shoot the ball in the selected direction. Tap and hold to pass the ball to the nearest player instead. Once the ball has been shot or passed normal ball controls apply. Throw-ins Press the wanted direction buttons while tapping on the screen to pass the ball to the nearest player. Once the ball has been passed normal ball controls apply. Pause the game or practise Select Pause in the Game menu or press a hardware button that is not used for user control (default the To Do and the Memo button). Tap on screen to continue the game.
