You'll need º º to have a version of PKUNZIP to unzip most of these patches. º ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ 1830 (1830.EXE) -- Upgrade allows the game to run with 2700 EMS and corrects lock-ups found when trying to buy a train from the bank when the bank has no trains. 1942: Pacific Air War (PAW15B.ZIP) -- Corrects these five features: The lack of aggressiveness for enemy planes and players wingmen. Enemy planes always taking the fight down to near sea level or ground level. Planes crashing into the ground for no apparent reason. Planes under fire performing lazy left and right hand turns. Lack of vertical maneuvers for enemy and wingmen planes. Alien Logic v.1.1 (ALIEN1_1.EXE) -- General maintenance patch. Bioforge (BUSBIO.EXE) -- Gravis Ultrasound Patch fixes music only, not digital sound effects. F-14 Fleet Defender (F14V20.ZIP) -- For original Fleet Defender only: adds fixes found in Fleet Defender Gold. Fighter Wing 2.0 (FW35.ZIP) -- The 2.0 upgrade includes following: 1. Faster performance across the board, thus making the game much more responsive in Medium and High Resolution graphics modes. 2. Corrected VESA mode video problems for the Tseng Labs chipset, and the ATI Xpressions, ATI Mach 64 and Diamond Stealth graphics cards. Note: Diamond Viper owners please read FW Fact Sheet below for more information. 3. Added options to reduce the amount of terrain detail and/or reduce the video window size for optimum dogfighting performance. (Users may display actual frame rate values on the screen in order to compare/ contrast performance under each of these display conditions.) 4. Corrected incompatibility problems with specific PCI local bus architectures which caused slow game performance. 5. Added "virtual cockpit mode" which offers multiple views from the cockpit. 6. Improved NETBIOS network gameplay performance and added IPX network support. 7. Corrected performance problems with Modem gameplay. 8. Added an option to replace "in-flight" music with engine noise. Note: If this option is desired, the user must be sure to reconfigure the Music setting in the Setup program. 9. New control commands in the FWUPDATE.TXT file, available once you UNZIP the file. Great Naval Battles III v.1.1 (GNB311.EXE) -- General maintenance patch. Harpoon Classic for Windows v.1.555 (WH155.ZIP) -- Fixes more general protection faults. Iron Cross v.1.01 (IC_PATCH.EXE) -- Sound Patch and Added Scenarios provides new sound drivers and adds six new scenarios. Jagged Alliance v.1.11 (JA111.ZIP) -- General maintenance patch. Ravenloft: Stone Prophet v.1.1 (RLFTDK.ZIP disk version & RLFTCD.ZIP cd version) -- General maintenance patches for CD and Floppy versions. Rules of Engagement 2 v.1.07 (ROE2_107.ZIP) -- This "patch" will update your copy of Rules of Engagement 2 from any prior version to version 1.07. To check which version you currently own, examine the version number displayed when the main game screen (the Cetus Amicus Directory screen) first appears. The following problems were corrected in version 1.07: o Made an adjustment to allow both Breach 2 and Breach 3 links in the same campaign. o Fixed a bug that prevented the IGS from running with Breach 3 unless Breach 2 was also present. o Fixed a bug that prevented creation of enemy fleet 4 since the file required (B303-11.DAT) was already used by other graphics. Fleets 4 and up now use B303-12 and on. o Fixed a bug that caused the animations to lock up on one more brand of video card. Tank Commander v.1.1 (TANKFIX.ZIP) -- Handles data loss in serial and modem play found on faster PCs, as well as some other bugs and crashes. The Daedalus Encounter v.1.1 (DAED11.ZIP) -- Problems solved with this update: 1. "mmopensound" and "can't write to specified wave device" errors at startup screen now fixed; only affected low-end sound cards. 2. "mmopensound" and "can't write to specified wave device" errors in puzzles now fixed; only affected low-end sound cards. 3. Puzzle setting no longer gets reset to difficult after escaping from movie or puzzle sequence. 4. Save game routine now saves the player's difficulty setting. 5. Loading a previous game will no longer require solving the same puzzle twice (Red door). 6. Save-game routine failure to add .DAT extension on some machines fixed. 7. "Continue" button no longer causes a "subscript out of range" error when used without a saved game loaded. 8. Save-game routine now saves audio levels. 9. Escaping out of a puzzle and immediately jumping to a cinematic no longer results in a GPF error. 10. Arbitrary debugger appearance problem fixed. 11. "Yes" or "No" option immediately before Mizar jump lag time eliminated. 12. Error message replaced by an "insert CD" dialog box when the game is started without a CD in the drive. 13. Standard 16-color Windows VGA driver no longer works with Daedalus. 14. Maze orb continuity problem fixed. 15. Art replaced in puzzle help. 16. Opening credits movie palette problem fixed. 17. Database can no longer become full. 18. Vakkar Freighter cargo door now has more room for error. Tigers on the Prowl v.1.23 (TOP_123.ZIP) -- Fixes all reported problems and adds a few new options that can be selected to speed up game play (with a slight loss in game accuracy). Tornado (TDO10E.ZIP & TDO10E.TXT) -- Patch corrects lockups on the prefs screen. Read the TDO103.TXT file on how to use this patch. U.S. Navy Fighter v.1.1 (USNF11.EXE) -- General maintenance patch. Warcraft v.1.21 (WARCR121.EXE) -- Upgrades offers improved sound card support, increased 2-player game speed and many more fixes. Also includes the unit editor! Warlords 2 (AWE32.ZIP) -- AWE 32 Patch vastly improves the sound quality for SoundBlaster AWE 32 users. As with all these patches, make sure you have your original files backed up in case you need to reinstall.
