Happy Napalm Software Presents A Chainsaw Production DOOM Gore v2.5 Special Edition DOOM 2 Gore v0.5 Special Edition ============================================================================== Title : DOOM Gore v2.5 Special Edition DOOM 2 Gore v0.5 Special Edition Filename : DMGSEGFX.WAD (The original graphics file) DMGSEGF2.WAD (Needed for DOOM 1 installation) DMG25T.WAD (The title screen and other stuff for DOOM) DM2G05T.WAD (The title screen and other stuff for DOOM 2) DMG25SE.WAD (will be created during installation for DOOM) DM2G05SE.WAD (will be created during installation for DOOM 2) Author : Chainsaw (who else?) Email Address : chainsaw@sys532.chatlink.com Misc. Author Info : I'm kRaYZee. I made gory graphics for DOOM 1, I hacked DEU for use with Heretic (gore coming soon for Heretic! Look for it!), I have released several levels for DOOM 2 (being converted to Heretic as we speak, and they will be released as a set). I am owner of Happy Napalm Software (formerly known as One On One Software, we were told by someone that there is a toy company by the name of One On One, so rather than cause trouble, we now call ourselves Happy Napalm. I like it better, anyways.) Look for DOOM Gore v3.0 and DOOM 2 Gore v1.0 koming soon. It will contain new graphics for stuff from DOOM and the stuff from DOOM 2 will be the same with more added to it. Description : This is an update to DOOM Gore v2.0 and a preview of DOOM 2 Gore v1.0. It has most of the same graphics as version 2.0, except for a new normal death for the Sargent, and a few bug fixes, a new title screen, and for users of DOOM 2, the Hell Knight, Arch-Vile, and Baby Spider Demon. Additional Credits to : id Software, the DEUTEX and DEUSF guys, and Satan. ============================================================================== * Play Information * Game : DOOM 1 and DOOM 2 (the install file lets you specify which version you have.) Map : Any and all Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : No (for graphics? Are you kidding? Good idea, though multiple gore settings would rule...) New Sounds : No New Graphics : Oh yes!!! New Music : No Demos Replaced : None * Construction * Base : Modified death scenes for the enemies. Editor(s) used : DEUTEX, DEUSF, Windows Paintbrush, Photo Styler for Windows Known Bugs : Some of the graphics stretch out and go through the wall due to being too big, but this is not a bug. This will be fixed in the next version. If you beat the game in DOOM 2, it will crash out to DOS. This is because the DOOM 1 graphics were not put into the pwad with the right coordinates. This should be fixed in the next version also. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use these graphics as a base to build additional DOOM add-ons. DO NOT use the graphics or you will surely feel the wrath of Chainsaw. If you want to help me on a new version of the graphics, you can contact me on many BBSs in the Cincinnati area. You'll definately be able to find me on Cincinnati Multiplayer Connection BBS, which supports multiplayer DOOM and Heretic, along with many other games. Try it out. It rules. You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with no modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact. PC Gamer has my permision to put this file on their CD or disk. Please distribute everywhere. Makes a GREAT gift. * Where to get this WAD * FTP sites: If it's not on the one you're at, put it there. Thanks. BBS numbers: Cincinnati Multiplayer Connection BBS (513) 825-7900 Other: PC Gamer CD, if I'm lucky. On your hard drive. * Installation Information * You should have recieved the following files with this program: DMGSE.BAT - This file will install the program for you. DMG25T.WAD - This is the file for DOOM with non-sprite graphics. DM2G05T.WAD - This is the file for DOOM 2 with non-sprite graphics. DMGSEGFX.WAD - This is the file with the changed graphics. DMGSEGF2.WAD - This is needed for DOOM 1 installation. DMGSE.TXT - This is the file you are looking at right now. DEUSF.EXE - This is needed to create the final DOOM 2 PWAD, which, by the way, is almost 4 megs. DMADDS11.EXE - This is needed to create the final DOOM 1 PWAD. DMGRAPH.EXE - This is needed for DOOM 1 installation. AAPLAY.EXE - This is needed for viewing the GIFs. FILE_ID.DIZ - This is the description file used by BBSs everywhere. It's 666 bytes, hehehe. DMGSE.GIF - This is the title screen for the batch file. Check out the burning heads. Hehehe. HNAPALM.GIF - This is our new call sign. A form of it will be included with every Happy Napalm program. Next time it might be animated. Just you wait. To install the new gory graphics, type DMGSE at the DOS prompt. A menu will appear and you should be able to figure it out. To run the graphics, type: DOOM -file DMG25T.WAD DMG25SE.WAD for DOOM 1 or DOOM2 -file DM2G05T.WAD DM2G05SE.WAD for DOOM 2. If you want to use another PWAD with these, put it's name AFTER these WAD names when you type it, otherwise, it may not show up when you are playing. -Happy Napalm "Bringing you demented software from sick minds."
