Video Card Test: ================ The first time you start Delta Force Land Warrior, the game will automatically check your video card settings. If you want to do this check in the future, add "/VIDTEST" to the command line. To do that, create a shortcut of the Dflwdem.exe and open its properties by right clicking on it. Add "/VIDTEST" to the end of the Target line. Now run the shortcut by double clicking on it. Getting Started: ================ We have installed icons in your start menu to run the game, update the product, read this readme file, and to uninstall the game. All you need to play Delta Force Land Warrior is your mouse and keyboard. No joystick is required. In this Demo, you will be playing Gas Can, one of the five characters that will be found in the final version. Click Accept Soldier to enter main menu (hotkey "A"). You can change your game options by clicking on Settings (hotkey "S"). In settings, you will be able to change your video and audio options, adjust the game difficulty and change your keyboard layout. To jump right into the game, click Demo Mission (hotkey "D"). After the game loads, you will notice your Delta Force Land Warrior interface. In the lower left corner of the screen, you will see your GPS map. Your waypoints will show up with lines connecting them. Follow these to complete your mission. Known enemies and the direction they are facing will also show up on your radar as red circles. Above your radar, the current weather condition is shown. The number below your GPS indicates how many meters out it will display at the present zoom. Adjust the map zoom with the - and = keys. To the right of your GPS is your situational icon. It shows whether you are standing, crouched or lying prone. Next to it is your current weapon with the number of magazines remaining and number of rounds remaining in the current magazine. Special items that you pick up will appear to the right of your weapon. Above this section is a text read out of your currently selected waypoint. Use the W key to cycle through all of your mission waypoints. Have fun and enjoy Delta Force Land Warrior! In this demo you are limited to these 5 weapons: K-Bar Combat Knife .45 SOCOM Pistol, silenced OICW The OICW is a combination weapon system of a 5.56mm rifle and a 20mm grenade launcher. It has a single trigger for both barrels, ambidextrous switches and is built as lightweight as possible. The rifle part may be detached from the grenade launcher and used as a stand-alone weapon. It functions very similar to other modern assault rifles because it is a variant of the HK G36. Note: The character "Gas Can" posseses a special ability that allows him to lob grenades at the range of the target in his crosshairs. You do not have to manually pitch the crosshair up, just point and shoot. MM-1 The MM-1 is a 12-round semi-automatic launcher capable of delivering 40mm tube launched grenades. Its relatively high rate of fire and unmatched precision makes it a devastating weapon on the battlefield. The MM-1 is a heavy weapon and the 40mm grenades it uses are bulky limiting the maximum load a soldier can carry. Note: The character "Gas Can" posseses a special ability that allows him to lob grenades at the range of the target in his crosshairs. You do not have to manually pitch the crosshair up, just point and shoot. 6 Fragmentation Grenades CHANGING WEAPON MODES Certain weapons can be fired in different modes (such as semi or automatic). Press the weapon key multiple times to cycle modes. USING THE SCOPE You will be more accurate if you adjust the range of your scope with the Z and X keys. You may also adjust the magnification level of the scope with the E key. MOVING AND FIRING As you run, your aim will get less accurate. When you stop, you will notice your crosshairs becoming tighter.
