Open Windows Explorer and, using your right mouse button, drag the POP3D.exe item to your desktop. When you release the mouse button, select the "create shortcut" option. This will create a shortcut for the game on your desktop. Right click on the shortcut, and select "properties". On the line labelled "", click after the text ending ...POP3D.EXE". Add a space, and -SLI. When you are finished, the line should look like this: "C:\Program Files\Red Orb\Prince of Persia 3D\POP3D.exe" -SLI (If you installed to a directory other than the default directory, ensure the last part of the line--after the quotation marks--is correct.) Click "OK" on the properties box, and then double-click the desktop shortcut to play the game with an SLI configuration. Please note that your menus may show small graphics glitches, but the game itself will play and look correct. Level data for the Palace 4 level has been updated. If you have any saved games from the Palace 4 level, delete them. They will crash your system if you attempt to load them. Be brave. Be strong. Be the Prince! ========================= Prince of Persia 3D is a third person action-adventure game that requires 3D hardware acceleration. The MINIMUM system requirements are: Windows 95 ® or Windows 98 Pentium 233 MHz 64MB RAM 300MB HD free 640x480 display, 16-bit color 8MB 3D Hardware accelerator, 100% DirectX compatible 4x speed CD-ROM drive 300 MB HD space 100% DirectX compatible sound card or better Notes and Addenda to the manual: Disc Two must be in the CD-ROM drive to play POP3D. If you are unable to control the Prince using the Numpad, make sure your Num-lock is turned on. It is recommended that you re-boot your system after installing POP3. Hitting a numpad key after the Prince dies will restart the level. Use load or quickload to get back to a saved game. Save Game Rules: Save early, save often. As a general rule you can only save your game when the Prince is standing still on a non-moving surface. You cannot save when the Prince is moving, in combat, swimming, on a moving platform or during a cinematic. There is visual feedback when a save is successful or not. Deleting a Saved Game: To delete a saved game, highlight the game in the saved game window and hit the Delete key to remove the game. Game Options: Reverse Controls while backing up Level of Difficulty: changes to this setting take effect next level or load Gore Setting: toggles the level of animated violence depicted Contrast and Brightness are not configurable in the game, use your monitor settings to adjust these. Gamma: if your video card does not support gamma adjustment, the gamma slider option will not be available. Level of Detail cannot be adjusted, POP3D shipped with only the highest detail setting. Reverse Stereo is not an option in POP3D. If the directional audio is backwards for POP3D and other programs, it is likely that your speakers are oriented incorrectly. This can be fixed by reversing the audio in your sound card setup, or by switching your speakers. Prince of Persia 3D has been tested on all of the common chips from many card manufacturers. If you have any problem with your audio or video, first make sure that DirectX is installed on your system, and that your card is DirectX compatible. The latest version of DirectX is included on the POP3D CD. Your system may require minor adjustments to the configuration of your operating system, and/or updates to hardware component drivers. If you experience problems with installation or compatibility of DirectX on your computer, please consult the hardware manufacturers of your video or sound card for the latest drivers compatible with DirectX.
