Particle Beam Cannon (PBC)
The particle beam cannon (PBC) taps highly charged particles, directly from the ship's main collider ring. The discharge from the cannon is released as a highly charged bolt which rapidly decays. This makes PBC is a very effective weapon over short ranges (less than 8 KM)
With computer assisted targeting the PBC is the most useful general-purpose close combat weapon.
