Fair Oaks/Seven Pines, an AoR scenario by Kevin Klemme 200/20 scale, 72 turns To install: unzip the files and copy them to your /rifles/scenario directory. Historical notes: --This was a difficult scenario to balance. Union forces are quite over- whelming by the end. Playing as the CSA is therefore the greater challenge. --To preserve play balance, units arrive on the battlefield in time to get to the point where they first entered the battle on schedule, rather than when they actually arrived in the vicinity of the battle. --Two Union brigades--Jameson & Berry--fought on both days of the battle. However, they only enter the scenario on the second day. They had different objectives and orders on the two days; it was a judgment call that the second day's objectives and orders were more important. If you want to change that, change their arrival time to 3:00pm on the first day, and give them attack orders with Seven Pines as their objective. --Casey's division (Naglee, Wessells, Palmer, and Baily) was as green as they come. They put out no sentries, so they were surprised when Hill's brigades appeared. To simulate both inexperience and surprise, Casey's division starts the scenario in disorder and limbered, and with poor vitality (to slow their reactions).
