Join text from multiple cells
Use an ampersand (&) to join the text from two or more cells. For example, Column A might contain a list of first names, and Column B the last names. The following formula will combine the first and last names: =A1&" "&B1 In Excel, you can also use this formula to join the contents of cells that contain values. In 1-2-3 and Quattro Pro, you must first convert those values to strings with the following formula: @string(A1,0)&" "&@string(B1,0) û John Walkenbach | Category:Spreadsheet Issue: September 1998 |
