Replacing WordPerfect 7 with WordPerfect 8

Tip
If you install WordPerfect 8 while leaving WordPerfect 7 on your system, the two programs will share some files and directory space. If you uninstall WordPerfect 7 later, Version 8 may not work properly. You should remove both programs, then reinstall WordPerfect 8. Before doing this, however, back up all changed templates, user dictionaries, macros, and the like, keeping them where they can easily be restored to the appropriate directories.
To remove both programs, insert your WordPerfect Suite 8 disc, click Windows 95's Start button, then select WordPerfect Suite 8--Setup & Notes--Corel Remove Program. Follow the prompts until you see the list of installed programs; select both WordPerfect 7 and WordPerfect 8 and finish the process. Once both apps are removed, restart your PC and reinstall WordPerfect 8. After installation, copy your backed-up files into their original directories.
