Cybermedia's Oil Change vs IE 4

Q I have installed a number of CyberMedia products recently and am quite happy with them, (Uninstaller, Oil Change and First Aid 97). However, there is a very annoying screen that fires up when I boot the PC. It is an Explorer (IE 4) screen with a CyberMedia folder containing the file cyberkrn.vxd. This file doesn't appear to do anything for me, but deleting the folder gave me a different message on boot up, confirming that does seem to do something! I copied the saved folder back to its original location.
I have tried to explore the StartUp folder but there is no mention of the Explorer folder, Explorer or the .vxd file anywhere in the StartUp folder that I can see. I am now at a loss to know where this folder is started from. Do you have any suggestions on how to stop it starting?

A This problem is probably caused by a conflict between Oil Change and the Windows Desktop Update component of Internet Explorer 4, which provides enhancements such as the Active Desktop and the Web-integrated Start menu and taskbar. The folder you see on booting is an ordinary folder created and used by one or more of the CyberMedia programs during normal operation. It isn't actually in the StartUp folder but it seems to be because it appears every time you start your computer.
The easiest way to resolve the problem and continue running both Internet Explorer and Oil Change is to uninstall the Windows Desktop Update. To do this, first empty the Recycle Bin, then choose Start--Settings--Control Panel--Add/Remove Programs. Click the Install/Uninstall tab, choose Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 from the list, and click Add/Remove. Select Remove Windows Desktop Update, but keep the Internet Explorer 4.0 Web browser, and click OK. Internet Explorer will close all open programs and reconfigure your computer to run without the Desktop Update. When you reboot the CyberMedia Folder should not appear.
Alternatively, you can edit the software settings in your Registry. Start the Registry Editor by selecting Start--Run, type regedit, and click OK. Navigate down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Double-click Oil Change in the right-hand pane and change the value data to "<drive>:\<path>\Cybermedia Oil Change\OCTray32.exe" Start. The drive and path should reflect your computer's configuration and be already filled in for you. Make sure to include the quotation marks, then click OK, exit the Registry Editor and reboot your computer.
If the problem still exists, run the Registry editor again, and navigate to the same place as before, but this time change the value data to
"<drive>:\<path>\Cybermedia Oil Change\OCTray32.exe Start".
After rebooting, the CyberMedia folder should have disappeared from your desktop.
