More on concatenating text files

Tip
Further to your article on concatenating text files (May 1997, p150), I offer the following:
1. Create the batch file concat.bat as described by you.
2. Place a shortcut to concat.bat in the \Windows\SendTo directory.
3. Right click on any text file, select Send To and select the shortcut you created.
This will cause the file to be appended to alltext.txt. This method has the advantage that you don't need to create associations (ie you can still associate your text files with Notepad so that you can open them by double-clicking) and it will work with any text file, regardless of the file extension.
Hope this is of some use.
