Redefining styles

Tip
The quickest way to redefine a style in Word for Windows 95 is to select some sample text and then, from the Style drop-down box on the Formatting toolbar, select the style you wish to redefine. Then apply all the formatting changes you would like to make to the style directly to the selected text. To finish the task, highlight the text and in the Style drop-down box retype the exact name of the style that you wish to redefine. You should get a message asking you if you would like to redefine the style based on the sample text or revert to the original style. Select redefine. Thus, the style is altered quickly with minimal fuss.
