Tip Many enquiries to PC World Help Screen request assistance in the very basic aspects of using the Web. Lots of people have trouble finding an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and configuring the software they need to log on to the Web via their ISP. Problems with modem configuration are also very common. It's just a primitive and complex technology. There is no shame in this. Please see our Help Screen General Q&A section in the September issue for assistance in connecting to an ISP using the Windows 95 Dial-Up Networking feature. Your ISP can probably provide you with software and full details of how to perform these steps on your particular platform.
