No defragger? No problem
Ever wondered where Windows NT's disk defragmentation utility is? It doesn't have one. Microsoft plans to include a stripped-down version of Executive Software's Diskeeper defrag tool in Windows 2000, the upcoming NT release. But you don't have to wait until then to get your NTFS partition sorted out. You can download the free 1.6MB Diskeeper Lite from this month's cover CD. After installing it, open Windows NT Explorer, right-click a drive, select Properties-Tools, and click Defragment Now to launch Diskeeper Lite. You must be logged on as an administrator to install or use the product. Caption: Give NT disk performance a boost with Executive
