In Create quick lines in WordPerfect (September 1998, p146), I described ways to draw horizontal lines quickly. But Paul Krisciunas points out another quick way to create single and double horizontal lines in WordPerfect 8:

To create a single horizontal line from margin to margin, go to a blank line, type four hyphens (----), and press <Enter>.

To create a double horizontal line from margin to margin, go to a blank line, type four equal signs (====), and press <Enter>.
