Do you have the time?

Q Since I installed Windows 98, on the clock I no longer have the AM or PM showing. When I was on 95 the time showed as AM or PM. Is there a way I can get this back in Windows 98?

A You can make the Windows 95 and 98 clocks display AM and PM symbols by tweaking the settings in the Regional Settings Control Panel. Select Start-Settings-Control Panel, double-click on Regional Settings, and click on the Time tab. In the Appearance section, click in the "Time Separator:" box and type in the symbol you want to use to separate the hours and minutes, or choose one from the drop down menu. Next, click in the "Time Style:" box and type h:mm:ss tt, making sure to leave a space between the ss and tt. The tt characters tell Windows to display the AM or PM symbols. To complete your clockÆs settings, type AM in the box next to "AM Symbol", then type PM in the box next to "PM Symbol". Click the Apply button, and then click OK to close the control panel. If all is well, AM or PM will instantly appear next to the time on your clock.
