When your screen's a shade off

If everything on your screen suddenly turns blue, green, or red, look carefully at the connection between your monitor and your PC. If the colour changes when you jiggle the cable, try checking the connectors, closely examining the pins. If a single pin is bent or pushed in, very gently straighten it or pull it out with a small pair of needle-nose pliers. If your connector looks good, try gently jiggling the cable every few centimetres. If you find a bad spot, use electrical tape and a toothpick to create a splint at that spot.
