Too many browser windows
Even after you've disabled JavaScript, some Web sites will still spawn multiple browser windows ù usually because their creators want to prevent you from leaving their site when you visit links. As Craig Lafferty complains, "When I look at my taskbar, there may be eight or nine open windows, most often loading in the background and slowing down the current window's activity."
Sorry, Craig, I can't find any way to stop these windows from opening. (But I'll bet we'll hear from our readers about this.) û Judy Heim | Category:Internet Issue: August 1998 |
