Turn off bullets and numbering in Word
Once you start a numbered or bulleted list (by typing either a number and a space, or an asterisk, at the beginning of a line), Word continues to add a number or bullet each time you press <Enter>. How do you shut this feature off once you've finished the list? After pressing <Enter>, click the Numbering or Bullets list icon on the main toolbar. This will work even if you didn't use the icons to start the list.
