Restructure tables in WordPerfect 8
You spent your lunch hour creating a table. Now your boss wants to restructure it by combining some cells and splitting others. No problem. You can do this easily without retyping and without multiple menu commands by using new icons on the Table Property Bar. Start by clicking inside the table to display the Property Bar.
To join cells, click the QuickJoin icon on the Table Property Bar. The mouse pointer changes to an arrow with two arrows beneath it. Click and drag this pointer over the cells you want to join. To split a row, simply click the QuickSplit Row icon, position the new pointer where you want the split to appear, then click. To split a column, click the QuickSplit Column icon, place the new pointer where you want the split to occur, and then click again. To return the mouse pointer to normal, click on the same icon you just used. û George Campbell | Category:word processing Issue: August 1998 |
