Turn off the graphics
Tip You can really speed up Web performance if you decide you can do without graphics. Many sites allow for use by sight-challenged users or text-only users, and are quite navigable without pictures. Microsoft's site is an example. To turn off graphics, in Netscape, choose Options and uncheck Auto Load images. In Internet Explorer, choose View--Options, click the General tab and in the Multimedia area uncheck Show Pictures. - Neale Morison | Category: Internet Issue: Oct 1996 Pages: 182 |
