I would like to link a homepage to some search engines and I'm wondering how can I do that. I have a couple of search engines in mind like Yahoo and Alta Vista. The problem is how can I link a homepage to a search engine?
I'm doing a market and industry analysis for a friend -- which is the best place to place an ad for his business. Do you have any suggestions ? Maybe PC World can come up with a section on which is the most frequent search engine used.

Nothing could be easier than to link to search engines. You just link. For example, put an HTML line in your file such as:

As far as I know the most often used sites are Alta Vista, Yahoo and Infoseek, followed by the others mentioned here. We discussed some of these in our June issue, "Free stuff on the Net".
