This page helps you with dialog boxes in Opera.
When Opera starts, the following options are offered in the start-up dialog:
Disable the start-up dialog if you always start Opera the same way.

Tip: If Opera repeatedly exits for no apparent reason, try starting with no pages.
When you have a set of Web pages open, say your Web mail and your favorite news site, you can save them as a "session". If you then close all open pages, and load the session, all pages will be appear as when they were saved.
Tip: Opera can start up showing a particular session, so that you can start with your Web mail and favorite news site, for instance.

menu.You can put any button on any toolbar, simply drag and drop the button on the toolbar you wish to have it.
Example: You can drag the Print button to the Contacts toolbar, even if it logically does not belong there.
Tip: After dropping the button, right-click it for multiple choices.

menu.You can set a page to reload automatically every 5 minutes or so. This can be used to monitor stock rates or checking other pages that are updated often.
Some pages have an expiration time. You can choose to reload the page only if it has expired.

menu.This dialog lets you set the page to go to when clicking the "Home" button on the Main bar.

menu.This dialog lets you enter Web addresses when the address field is not available, such as in full screen mode.
You can also access previously entered Web addresses in the drop-down menu that appears.

You can also decide whether to be asked again for similar files, or let your choice apply for all time.
Warning: Always scan insecure files with updated virus-protection software before executing.

Some pages require that you enter a username and password. Contact the service provider if you are unable access the page.
When visiting a secure site, a server certificate will be presented to you for approval:
At the slightest suspicion of a security issue, you will be warned with one of the following messages:
Certificates must be continously renewed in order to be valid. If a site sends an expired certificates it can not be said to be properly maintained.
Accepting a certificate intended for a different site is a security risk because certificates are intended for use on a single site only.
You are warned if the certificate is signed by an authority that is not installed on your computer. Trusting unregistered certificate signers involves a security risk.
Some sites store cookies on your computer to remember you. Cookies are intended to make browsing easier, but can be used for exploital purposes.
If you are not familiar with cookies, click as a rule of thumb if you are in doubt on whether to trust the site.
If a page tries to use cookies to for example trace your browsing within a national domain, the cookie will automatically be refused by Opera.
Some sites offer file uploading as part of their service. Normally, you click and select which file you want to upload from your computer to the site.
Warning: A form can be preset to upload private files from your computer. To prevent forms from stealing your files, a warning is always given if a filename is preset in an upload form.
This dialog helps you to delete information about your browsing activities on your computer.
Warning: Be sure you know what you are doing when using this dialog. Deleting private data may have unwanted side effects:
Note: Information deleted from hard drives may be restored using "undelete" software.

menu.In order to check your e-mail and read news, you must provide the respective password given by your service provider.
Contact your service provider if you have persisting problems.
Messages you delete are temporarily stored in your Trash folder.
If you regret deleting a message, open your Trash folder, and click the Undelete button in the message view.
If you go into your Trash folder, and press Delete on a message, the message is permanently deleted.
To permanently delete all messages in your Trash folder, right-click the message tree in Hotlist and select "Empty trash".
