How to add another Language?
There is a free Localization Pack available that allows you to provide localizations for your own language at http://www.vallen.de/freeware. It includes a Unicode capable Language Editor for easy translating of all texts showing up in the program. This allows you to translate JPegger and immediately test your texts in real-time with the full running version of Vallen JPegger under real-world conditions. The Localization Pack is complete and stand-alone. No additional software or any programming skills required.
When finished you simply send back the language files for inclusion in the next public release. For detailed information see langedit.pdf within the JPegger Localization Pack.
Notes about the Arabic localization and other Unicode localizations:
The translation Arabic is available in these cases:
Special Localized Windows 95/98/ME:
a) Arabic Windows (Windows with Arabic menu)
b) Enabled Arabic Windows (Windows with Arabic support and English
menu)
NT windows as 2k/XP: Universal or localized
Note for Windows NT: To avoid some strange effects for any right to left written language or even any vertical written language, you can use language options in the control panel as in the image below. This option does not add any language for the keyboard in the language bar, but it recognizes the other attitudes of any written language (right to left: first option; vertical: second option).
Note: To show up the Chinese translation properly you must install the files for East Asian languages (see image below, lower checkbox). Works on all Windows 2000/XP systems.
