Message View

 

When the Subject of a Message Listing entry is clicked, the contents of the message will be displayed in the Message View. The information displayed will include the From, To, CC (if any), and Subject headers, as well as the body of the message, and any file attachments. Image and text file attachments will be opened and displayed below the message body. If the attachment is in a format that your browser doesnÆt support, you can right click the attachment and use the shortcut menu to save or open it in the utility of your choice.

Adding Senders to the Address Book

When a message is displayed in the Message Listing, click next to the ôFrom:ö address to add the sender to your Address Book.

Message View Toolbar

At the top of the Message View page is the Message View Toolbar, which is used for the following functions:

 

Click the Message Listing button to return to the Message Listing.

Click the Previous button to display the message listed above this one on the Message Listing.

Click the Next button to display the message listed below this one on the Message Listing.

Click this icon to display the next unread message.

Click this button to Reply to the currently displayed message. You will be moved to the Compose Page which will have the To:, From:, and Subject: automatically filled in for you. The current messageÆs From: address will appear in the To: header, the From: will contain your default email address, and the Subject: will be the same as the current messageÆs preceded by ôRe:ö. In addition, the body of the current message will be displayed in the Compose pageÆs text box under an ô--Original Message--ö heading.

   If the currently displayed message was addressed to multiple To: and CC: recipients, you can use the Reply All control to send your reply to all of the original recipients. In every other way, this feature is identical to the Reply control explained above.

   Forward is identical to Reply except that the To: header will not be automatically filled in, and the Subject: will be preceded by ôFwd:ö instead of ôRe:ö.

Clicking the Delete button will move the currently displayed message to the Trash folder for deletion. After removing this message, the Message View will display the next entry in the Message Listing.

   Click the Print button to display the message in a separate browser window from which you can use the browserÆs print controls (usually located on the browserÆs File menu or Toolbar).

The Source button will cause the message to be opened in a separate browser window which will display the messageÆs contents and all of its headers; even those headers that are ordinarily hidden.

Click the Copy/Move icon to copy or move the message to another folder. This control is identical to Copy/Move described in the Message Listing.

Viewing Attachments

File attachments included with messages will be listed on the Message View page below the message body. Text and Image attachments will be automatically opened and displayed whenever possible. Formats and File Types which are not supported by your browser can be saved or opened by clicking the attachment and choosing to either save the attachment or open it with the appropriate utility.

By default, attachments that are displayed inline will not be included in the list of attachments at the end of the message. However, if you would like inline attachments to be included in the list then you can configure WorldClient to include them by enabling the ôList All Attachmentsö control located in Preferences.
