Memos

A Personal Memo is a note or memorandum that appears on your calendar to remind you of important things such as birthdays, anniversaries, or whatever you want. Personal Memos are shown only to you and those who have read-access to your calendar. A Global Memo is a note that appears on everyoneÆs calendar except those who have been designated as exceptions on the Groupware dialog within MDaemon (Setup->Groupware). Only those who have been given specific permission (designated on the same dialog) can designate a memo as ôGlobalö.

Creating a Memo

Personal and Global memos are both created in the same manner. If you want a memo to be global then you will designate it as such during the creation process.

To create a memo:

  1. Log in to WorldClient and click the calendar icon on the main navigation bar.

  2. Use the drop-down list box at the top of the page to choose the calendar on which you wish to create the memo.

  3. Click the Add Memo icon   that corresponds to the date on which you wish to create the memo. Note: if you are viewing someone elseÆs calendar and this icon is not visible then you do not have permission to create memos for that person.

  4. The Add Memo screen will appear. In the Memo Text box, type the text for your memo.

  5. If you have permission to create Global Memos, there will be a checkbox labeled, ôPlace this memo on everyoneÆs calendarö. Click this checkbox if you want the memo to be ôGlobalö and appear on everyoneÆs calendar. Leave it unchecked if you want this to be a personal memo.

  6. Click Finished.

  7. To view your memo click the date for which it was created.
