Calendar

 

The Calendar options page allows you to setup the access and security options for your WorldClient calendar.

Time Format

Displays hours in the Week and Day view as well as in the add appointments and add meetings pages. Time will be displayed in an AM/PM format by default otherwise it will be displayed in a 24 hour format.

Display Mode

WorldClient can display your preferred calendar display first when you click the calendar link.  You may choose from either Month or Week view.

iCalendar events

You can choose whether WorldClient always adds iCalendar events found within email messages to your calendar, or whether it will ignore iCalendar events.

Calendar Administration

General Event Creation Setting

Choose whether you allow others to add new events to your calendar by default.  If you change this setting to "No" you can still allow others to add appointments by creating an exception in the permissions exceptions boxes below.  Also exceptions can be made to this rule so that certain addresses cannot add events, even though this settings is set to "Yes"

General Calendar Viewing Setting

Select "Yes" to allow others to see public events when viewing your calendar, by changing this to "No" users will not be able to view your calendar unless you set them as exceptions below in the specific user text box.

Specific User Event Creation Setting

By adding email addresses to this text field you allow these users to always have permission to add new events to your calendar.  Multiple addresses must be separated with commas.   This allows you to set exceptions to the general event creation setting.

Note

If you block all people from viewing your calendar, but still allow people to add events, they will not be able to see the events that they have created unless you give them permission to view your calendar as well.

Specific User Event Creation Exclusion Setting

When you add email addresses to this text field these users never have permission to add new events to your calendar.  Multiple email addresses must be separated with commas.  This allows you to create exceptions to the to the general event creation setting.

Specific User Calendar Viewing Setting

Adding email addresses to this field allows these users to always have permission to see public events when viewing your calendar.  This allows you to make exceptions to the general calendar viewing setting. Multiple email addresses must be separated with commas.

Specific User Calendar Viewing Block Settings

By adding email addresses to this text field you specify that these users never have permission to see public events when viewing your calendar.  Multiple email addresses must be separated with commas.

Import/Export Calendar Data

Import Schedule

By clicking on this button you will be prompted with a window that will allow you to import calendar data from a Microsoft Outlook comma separated file.

To import a schedule

  1. Open the Options page and click the Calendar options link.

  2. Click the "Import" button.

  3. Type the path to the comma separated file or click the "Browse..." button to open the file selection dialogue to select a file.

  4. Click the "Import" button to import the calendar data into WorldClient or click "Cancel" to close the window without importing the data.

Export Schedule

By clicking on this button a new window will open that will allow you to export calendar data to a comma delimited file for being imported into other programs such as Microsoft Outlook.

To export a schedule

  1. Open the Options page and click the Calendar options link.

  2. Click the "Export" button.

  3. Select the date range you wish to export from the drop down boxes.

  4. Click "Export" to export the file or "Cancel" to close the window without exporting.

  5. If you clicked Export a comma separated file will be returned you will need to choose "Save" on the download dialogue to save the file onto your hard drive.
