Net Snippets is a
unique Internet information management tool designed to address the needs
of researchers, students, information specialists and individuals who rely
heavily on the Internet as an information source. Integrated into the
browser, Net Snippets provides users for the first time with tools to
clip, annotate, edit and manage information found on the web without
leaving the comfort of their favorite browser interface. Internet Explorer
5.0 (or
above) is required.

Getting
Started |

To
bring up Net Snippets, click Internet Explorer's 'View' menu and select the 'Explorer
Bar' menu item. Now click the 'Net Snippets' menu item.

You can also click the 'Snippets' button located in
Internet Explorer's main toolbar. If you can not see the 'Snippets' button

Using Net Snippets |
|
Using Net
Snippets is easy. To get started, all you need to do is select a block of text or images
on any web page and drag it to the Net Snippets
Explorer Bar. You can also use the right button of your mouse to bring up
a pop-up menu. Before saving the new Snippet you'll be able to edit it
(using a built-in HTML editor) and give it a meaningful name.

Adding
the 'Snippets' button to Internet
Explorer's toolbar |

Look on Internet
Explorer's main toolbar for the 'Snippets' button. If you can't see it,
please follow the steps below: |
|
1.
Click the right button of your mouse over Internet Explorer's
toolbar. |
|
2.
Select 'Customize' from the pop-up menu. |
|
3.
Look for 'Snippets' in the 'Available toolbar buttons' list on the left
side. |
|
4.
Select the 'Snippets' entry and move it to the 'Current toolbar buttons'
list using the 'Add ->' button. |
|
5.
You should see a new 'Snippets' button in Internet Explorer's main
toolbar. |
