COMPANY BACKGROUND
Software Dynamics, inc. (SDi) is a leader in Windows multimedia and interactive fun. Based in Calgary, Canada and established in 1989, SDi has a history developing high-performance multimedia systems for various environments, as well as designing real-world artificial intelligence (AI) and control systems.
Since 1990, SDi has been specializing in developing interactive fun products for Windows. True to our company name, we create dynamic software systems that respond and adapt to each individual user. SDi is committed to delivering reliable high-performance products that mold to each user.
SDi PRODUCTS
It's not an easy path, but innovation is the SDi way. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes a while for the public to appreciate new products and ideas, but there are also great rewards.
SDi is best known as an innovator in screen savers. We are most notably the original designer/developer of the highly acclaimed After Dark for Windows. While screen savers are currently as commonplace as cars, they were virtually unknown before After Dark. After Dark's success established screen savers as a genre as well as achieving huge acceptance by users as a fun and useful Windows product.
Of most recent note is Operation: Inner Space, a combination action/strategy game and screen saver for Windows. Inner Space offers a unique game experience suited to users of any age or gaming experience, with a focus on fun, addictive interaction with the user. By using advanced AI, the game responds to the user's style of play to give a personal experience more suited to the individual.
SDi continues to develop new techniques to advance the state of the art and apply in our multimedia products. Our upcoming multiplayer sequel to Inner Space, Lightning, will take users to a new level in gaming, featuring 3D texture-mapped graphics, more realistic AI, and fast head-head play against other users over networks or modems.
