Sea-Monkeys Status
On December 6, 1994, Josh
Peck gave me a Sea-Monkeys Growth Kit. The kit includes
everything I need to raise my pet Sea-Monkeys. This page tracks the
progress of their hatching and growth.
Sea-Monkeys Growth Log
- Fri Dec 9 08:54:13 CST 1994 Water is added to the
Ocean-Zoo, and the contents of the water purifier packet are
added. The water used is Mountain Valley Spring water. This solution
must sit for 24-30 hours. I expect to add the Sea-Monkey eggs
sometime Saturday afternoon.
- Fri Dec 9 14:56:25 CST 1994 Small bubbles have formed
almost covering the floor of the Ocean-Zoo. Larger bubbles
are clinging to the sides of the Ocean-Zoo.
- Sat Dec 10 15:27:57 CST 1994 Added Instant Life
packet (containing Sea-Monkey eggs) to the
Ocean-Zoo. I have spotted several Sea-Monkeys
swimming around. The office is about 72 degrees Farenheit (22 C).
The Sea-Monkeys should be loving it.
- Mon Dec 12 10:27:22 CST 1994 Added the contents of the
Plasma II packet. There are tens, if not hundreds, of
Sea-Monkeys swimming around the Ocean-Zoo. They are
all very small. The longest ones are about 1mm long. Expect pictures
soon.
- Thu Dec 15 15:30:51 CST 1994 The Sea-Monkeys
are quite plentiful, although they don't appear to have grown very much.
- Mon Dec 19 12:13:25 CST 1994 Most of the
Sea-Monkeys appear to be dead. I see only two of them
swimming around. It is a sad day in the Ocean-Zoo.
- Mon Jan 9 14:28:51 CST 1995 Today I returned to work after a vacation and foudn the Ocean-Zoo to be half evaporated. I also saw a Sea-Monkey that was about 8 mm long. I filled the Ocean-Zoo with water, and now I can spot 4 living Sea-Monkeys. The one already mentioned is the largest. There are two that are about 5 mm long and one very small one, about 2 mm.
- Wed Mar 29 14:38:12 CST 1995 I haven't updated this in a while. The Sea-Monkeys are all dead. In fact, the last one died about a month and a half ago. I am waiting for the Ocean-Zoo to be completely evaporated. Then I will add fresh water, and the yet unborn crystalline Sea-Monkeys should come to life.
