It is a control library problem and is complex. It will NOT be fixed in the near future. QUIRKED 00106 (WordPro doc causing GPF) *** HIGH PRIORITY *** - CAN'T REPRODUCE 00052 Installation from diskette leaves boxes on Status Bar. reproduced once; NOT dependent on Yes/No response to licence acceptance. 01/AUG/96 Engineering Release 1.0 ----------------------- Improved uninstall end dialog. The bitmaps in question have long filenames which are not currently supported. Area under review at Software 2000. 00091 Invoking help on spool manager dir. disables spool menu functions This problem only occurs if help is invoked from the BROWSE dialog. This is a Windows Common Dialog (Open Filename). After returning to the main window and closing Help then Windows does not send us all messages as normal (eg the mouse double click message never reaches us). This seems to be a Windows '95 error at present (it works ok in Win 31). The solution/workaround for this is not obvious and would require extensive research. FIX IN FUTURE PRODUCT. 00071 (further to fix) Wrong printer icon on Lexmark 2030 control program. This problem occurs under Windows 95 but not Windows 3.1. The icon in the driver has been changed and is now correct. The resource DLL correctly contains only the new version of the icon. The problem is due to a bug in the Windows 95 shells. Windows 95 retains an internal list of icons associated with shortcuts. Windows 95 is failing to update its icon list correctly. You will find that the incorrect icon is displayed even after using "change icon" from the properties of the shortcut. You will also find that the icon will be correctly displayed after forcing Windows 95 to update its icon list by changing the display colour depth or resolution. Software 2000 presently know of no safe workaround during installation. Note that this will not be a problem in the field. The incorrect icon displayed was only present in earlier betas. The icon will be correctly displayed on a system which has not previously seen the WWLXTELN.DLL executable, and which first installs version beta 5 or later of the driver. QUIRK? 00050 (again) may be related to 00059 and printer's "throw-away mode" seems to have been fixed in Beta 5. ANSWERED/CLOSED at Release 1.0 ------------------------------ 00113 (no details) QUIRKED 00093 (homes/hun95 problem) - Samsung App ANSWERED: HP driver for HP660 has same behaviour. 00076 DOS printing not directed to default printer but to last printer installed. expected behaviour 00053 paper source graphic toggle problem 00031 Freelance Graphics prints in mono, any CMYK application MS GDI bug, QUIRKED 00018 win 95: wtdspler -> gpf wwlxte.drv @ 0002:5407 (essentially, exiting spool manager whilst printing two jobs) Lexmark can no longer reproduce this problem 00016 DOS printing high speed printing default should be unchecked 00011 error whilst spooling to "" msg should be more clear (very low priority) - 3/4 days work, QUIRKED Release Beta 5 - ADDENDUM -------------- FIXED ----- 00042 Freelance Graphics printout now matches Print Preview 00029 No longer losing colour or poor colour matching 25/JUL/96 Release Beta 5 -------------- Corrected paperjam dialog text - shared and switched sections did not correspond properly. The driver is functioning correctly. The dependency of paper source on paper size is available to applications. The when the paper size is changed, it is up to the application to get the paper sizes and source bin lists again. When an application does this, the information is correct. LEXMARK: please close this bug. 00047 String appears for Win3.1 control panel install previously changed string in oem\lexmark\driver.def Note that the control panel is finding the driver name in the driver executable, despite it being compressed.
