Testing Your Search Form

After editing Sample.idq, you can check your work by sending a query to your site.

1. Open the following address in your browser:

http://localhost/mysite/sample.htm
where /mysite is the name of the virtual directory you created for your documents and for your search form.


2. In the Enter your query below box type a word or phrase that you know is in the documents on your site.
3. Click the Search button.
4. In your browser, the results page (in HTML format) replaces the search page.
5. Click one of the links to see a document that contains the word or phrase you searched for.
