Require Secure Channel
To use TLS for Microsoft SMTP Service, you must create key pairs and configure key certificates. Clients can then use TLS to submit encrypted messages to Microsoft SMTP Service, and Microsoft SMTP Service can then decrypt the messages. Microsoft SMTP Service can also use TLS to encrypt messages sent to remote servers.

When sending an encrypted message, the client may require a secure channel, which is a tightly controlled session between the client and the server. To require a secure channel, select the Require Secure Channel check box. To disable the feature, clear the Require Secure Channel check box.
